I have not posted on this blog in a long while. I don't have an explanation other than I was busy making other plans.
That said, it's time to get back on the horse and write a few posts. We'll start with this: the great author Ed Ward responded to a post I left on his blog and while I am rarely susceptible to hero worship, I fell in headfirst with Mr. Ward. I have adopted his new Rock and Roll vol. 1 in my Online History of Rock course. I anxiously await Vol. 2 as it will also be included on the reading list. Ward became known to me through his contribution to the Rolling Stone history of rock book titled Rock of Ages. It's out of print and that's why I don't use it as a text. That's the ONLY reason. It's so good! So, we're off and running again and the blog is alive and hopefully well. This blog will only deal with my alter-ego as a history of rock academician. More to come.
